BPW-Hungária Kft. expands its digitalisation strategy with
QR code on type plates

Using QR codes to identify spare parts has never been easier! Scan the QR code to access the MyBPW app, which is constantly updated with a list of spare parts. The supporting content will be uploaded in phases and will be available from May onwards starting with 11, 12 and 14 tonne steering and rigid axles and stubs.

By providing the parts with “digital DNA”, a clear link is created between the physical product and the digital information. During the lifetime of the axle, workshops and drivers can easily find service-relevant product data, including spare parts lists or manuals, by scanning the QR code.

The ” Spare parts” section contains spare parts lists and provides further details on individual parts. Meanwhile, the “Manuals” section provides further information, such as workshop manuals.

As for the other information available, service technicians can view exploded diagrams for a given axle, part by part. From bearings and wheel nuts to pivot pins and from brake cams to seals and suspension, there is the possibility of a comprehensive interpretation of spare parts, which makes the work easier and more accurate.

BPW’s mobile app is intuitive to use and follows the “look and feel” principle that every smartphone user is familiar with. The mobile app also sets new standards in user-friendliness, as it is clearly structured and gives the user access to both the “Spare Parts” and “Manuals” sections. All information is available for download or can be sent via e-mail.

BPW’s agricultural axles and aggregates have a data plate with a QR code, which can be scanned with your tablet or smartphone and allows you to easily search for spare parts and view workshop manuals, assembly and operating instructions.
